You MUST try the American Teacake! it is my absolute favorite. Crispy on the outside, sprinkled with powdered sugar, and like a sweet popover in the middle - perfect. And agreed about the chocolate croissant - my boyfriend loves these.

As a longtime fan of ABW - this ranks as the best bakery in town! There is absolutely no comparison to the quality, price, and assortment of goodies.

To Tim: The only donuts you can compare between Mel-O-Glaze and ABW are the Cake donuts - since those are the only kind Gary makes. The cake donuts at ABW are far superior to Mel-O-Glaze or Scandia (all in the same 'hood).

One contest I am up for is how long the Cinnamon rolls will stay warm from the oven. I have a personal interest, as I have recently moved from my beloved Longfellow home to Evil Prairie. I figured if I got there just as they come out of the oven (which they do frequently on the weekends) and drove like made back to EP, they should at least have melted icing...

As someone who always looks under "A" for everything from restaraunts to muffler shops, I can tell you this is one donut shop I am going to hit tomorrow. Funny thing is, I live down the street from this place and I've never been there. Thanks Alex!
